Joe Satriani (Joe «Satch» Satriani; rod. July 15, 1956, Vestberi, New York, USA) - American guitarist of Italian origin. The teacher of such well-known guitarists as Steve Vai and Kirk Hemmet (solo-guitarist of Metallica). In late 1993, was invited to Deep Purple for the replacement of a sudden gone from the group during the tour, Ritchie Blackmore, but the following year left the group because of contractual obligations.
